THE DEALING SPROUT
As every year in spring,
every healthy growing plant,
as in every healthy company,
buds sprout.
They sprout from tiny pointed buds right there next to those flowering round ones,
they discover by accident that they are not meant to become a single fruit
but rather to grow into a branch in order to generate many more of them them,
create and give.
The bud will have to be careful and win against the wind,
it will not have to take advantage of too much sap
but only take the right, honest amount.
At the top of the list, there will always be the upright ones,
the straight, nice and fair ones.
A plant knows well where and how many shoots to grow each year,
it knows well whether it can afford it,
how well it knows how much fruit it can bear.
Never will it entrust its future to a single fruit,
he might lurch to one side or the other and lose everything
with a big thud.
You don’t see a peach tree with one single, huge peach as big as its head.
In a nutshell, the sprout will have to grow and
get to know its plant before bearing fruit
so one day it can become a supporting branch
on which the flow can pass on.
“Our hands will raise the “Hulk” we want to be.”
